EVENTS - THE PRINT SHOW / NEWS 27 May / June 2025 - Issue 354 www.printmonthly.co.uk invest in bigger kit, especially UV flatbed technology. We also know that Brits don’t travel in numbers to FESPA and drupa, so it’s imperative that we have a relevant and vibrant trade event to service the UK print industry.” While the show is still some way off, McMullin and Epson already have a good idea as to what they will be showcasing at the event. Offering an insight into the manufacturer’s plans, McMullin says visitors can look forward to live demonstrations of the SureColor V7000 ten-colour UV flatbed printer alongside the new SureColor S9100, an eco-solvent printer that is replacing the successful S80600. Fujifilm And Agfa Back For 2025 While the addition of Epson will be a boost for organisers and the show as a whole, recent news of two other large players in the market returning for 2025 also comes as positive news for those planning to attend. Fujifilm will exhibit for the third consecutive year and has again opted for one of the largest stands at The Print Show as it seeks to capitalise on the diverse crowd that the event draws year-on-year. Andy Kent, general manager for the Graphic Communication Division at Fujifilm, is urging the industry as a whole to get behind the show. Kent says: “I think we need to have a strong exhibition on these shores to remain relevant to younger generations. Print is an amazing science; combining chemistry with mechanics and amazing technology with very smart software, and we need to show it off. “We have exhibited for the past two years and have shown a clear evolution of our overall business as well as products on both occasions, and 2025 will be no different.” Highlights on the Fujifilm stand this year will include new solutions from its production print-on-demand and wide-format inkjet range, all of which are marketed under the ‘5UPER COLOUR’ header. Another returning manufacturer is Agfa, which exhibited for the first time in 2024 and has taken a larger space this year to showcase its Jeti Bronco H3300 printer. Paul Fitch, head of Inkjet for the UK, Ireland, and Nordics at Agfa, says The Print Show is an important event for UK print businesses. “Driven from our experience last year, we are convinced this is an important show for the UK audience,” Fitch says, continuing: “As a big player in the wide-format print area, we want to present our solutions and strengths. “The Print Show is a great exhibition to have various brands and machines available on one spot. You are in direct contact with the suppliers, plus live demonstrations are always more expressive than website pages. For us, The Print Show is a great interactive platform and stage.” Drawing A Crowd Elsewhere on the floorplan is swissQprint, which, like Fujifilm and Agfa, will be back after a successful 2024 show. Taking a stand almost double the size of its space at the show last year, swissQprint will be seeking to build on its success and speak with more visitors about its wider range of solutions. A big name in the large-format market, swissQprint offers some of the largest printers in the world including the popular Kudu, Nyala 4 and 4S, Impala 4 and 4S, and Oryx 4 models, as well as its recently released fifth generation printers. The manufacturer will release more details about its appearance at the show closer to the event. Meanwhile, another large-format printing solutions provider, Liyu England, has been a regular at The Print Show for the past three years, and will return this year with one of the event’s larger stands. Speaking about the company’s return, managing director Eddie Tucker only has good things to say about The Print Show. Such has been Liyu England’s success over the past few editions that Tucker has promised that the company will continue to exhibit year after year. “In our first year at the show, we exhibited almost by accident as guests of Amari Digital, but the interest we had was unbelievable,” Tucker says, adding: “Coming back for the second, third, and now fourth time was an absolute no brainer. “It gives us a chance to show off our amazing range of Platinum printers and cutters, which have been taking the UK by storm, with some big printing houses now investing in the machines.” Tucker goes on to say the now-annual tradition of exhibiting at The Print Show is something that the entire workforce at Liyu England looks forward to, and 2025 will be no different. “Our team loves going to The Print Show; one of our highlights is the end of show Christmas singalong, which has become something of a Liyu England tradition,” Tucker says. “We really do feel like part of The Print Show family.” ▲Fujifilm is one of several major brands returning this year ►Liyu England will again showcase large-format solutions
