27 email: editor@printmonthly.co.uk September / October 2025 - Issue 356 Hybrid Services, the exclusive distributor for Mimaki in the UK and Ireland, has announced that it will use its stand at the inaugural edition of The Sign Show this year for the UK and Irish launch of the new Mimaki UJV300DTF-75. A compact, UV DTF printer, Hybrid says the machine enables the easy creation of premium decals, bespoke branding, and personalisation. Key attributes include the ability to print on film at a resolution of up to 1200dpi, while it runs in six colours, and it can print at widths of up to 640mm. Using UV-curable ink printed directly to film, the new printer enables the production of full-colour decals that can be applied to a wide variety of surfaces including bottles, boxes, metal, plastic, and wood. In addition, as no cutting or weeding is required, Hybrid says this helps to streamline the process of producing high-impact graphics, which in turn makes it an “ideal solution” for customisation and short-run applications. Alongside the Mimaki UJV300DTF-75, visitors to the Hybrid Services stand will be able to view and explore a selection of Mimaki’s latest solvent printers, print-and-cut solutions, and flatbed technologies. The Hybrid team will be on hand to run live demonstrations and offer expert advice to attendees about all machines on the stand. “Positioned at the very entrance to the inaugural signage-focused exhibition, Hybrid’s large stand will showcase an extensive line-up of Mimaki hardware across print, cut, and UV technologies – reinforcing its long-standing commitment to the sign and graphics sector,” Hybrid Services says. Andy Gregory, sales director at Hybrid Services, also talked up the impact of the all-new – The Sign Show. He says that as a long-standing supporter of The Print Show, Hybrid welcomes the co-location of the two events and the company sees it as a valuable opportunity for sign-makers, print providers, and display professionals to explore new innovations under one roof. “The Sign Show is a timely and important addition to the exhibition calendar,” Gregory says, continuing: “It gives the signage industry its own dedicated space while still benefiting from the crossover with The Print Show. “We’re proud to be backing the event from day one, and excited to be bringing headline technology like the UJV300DTF-75 to the UK and Ireland market for the first time.” Visitors can view the new Mimaki UJV300DTF-75, as well as other solutions from Mimaki, on the Hybrid Service stand (S110) at The Sign Show section of Hall 3. Diversified finishing business Plockmatic Group will have a large presence at The Print Show, with the company having recently extended its reach by acquiring Renz. The deal, brokered in June, involves German-based Renz and its subsidiaries in UK, Australia, Argentina, and Turkey. Renz UK, alongside another Plockmatic company, Morgana Systems, is a regular exhibitor at the show, with both set to attend this year. Morgana and Renz UK will be neighbours at the event, with visitors set to learn more about the latest finishing systems and technology advances across the brands. “The acquisition of Renz is an opportunity to enter the ring wire binding segment, which is a natural complement to Plockmatic’s existing offering,” Morgana marketing manager Wendy Baker says, adding: “There will be significant synergies within key areas including sales, production, sourcing, and R&D, with the ambition to broaden Plockmatic’s geographic footprint and develop the next generation of automised professional ring wire binding equipment for calendar and book production.” As for what to expect on the Morgana stand, visitors can view the Morgana Digifold Ultra, the unique LED Digicoater, latest derivative of the Morgana BM5000 Series, the ColorCut FB9500 Pro, and the ColorFlare CF2500 Pro. In addition, those in attendance can gain insight into solutions from partners such as Uchida, with multifunction cut, slit, crease and perf, die cutting, and the new EBA 68, featuring the SpeedCut automation package. “For Morgana customers, the objective always is to provide the best technical and most cost-effective solution, helping customers to find the right solution for their business, whether in-line or off-line,” Baker adds. Aside from Morgana and Renz, the wider Plockmatic also includes another company that will be familiar to regular visitors of the show in the form of Intec Printing Solutions, a specialist in offline digital print and finishing kit.
