Flexi Complete has been developed to simplify the lineup of Flexi software and is the only “all-in-one design, print, and cut software for sign and print providers”. New features within Flexi Complete include finishing tools in Flexi Design which means finishing tools are now integrated into the design workflow rather than being options applied in Production Manager. Also featured are two new nesting options within Production Manager enabling job images to be viewed during movement and layouts to be updated; a new custom weed path tool designed for time saving; and an improved intuitive interface. Based on user preferences, the new interface offers a set of options to personalise the theme and layout, enabling the user to navigate the software with ease. Other advancements include Advanced Text Designer, Advanced ContourCut which permits contour paths to be previewed by themselves, and a new keyboard shortcut making masking/unmasking objects easier. Flexi Complete is available in a range of pricing plans starting at £58.99 per month. Clarity, a provider of MIS solutions for sign-makers and print service providers (PSPs), helps companies manage all aspects of their business through software that manages workflow, quotations, and invoicing. The integration means customers will benefit from quicker project planning and costing while also providing secure access to updated information integrated into their software. Mikaela Bellew, head of business development at William Smith, says: “Integrating our system with Clarity means customers have access to their bespoke price lists at their fingertips. Every material, tool, and accessory within our portfolio is available including leading brands 3M, Avery Dennison, and Arlon, plus our brand VION. Everything from sign-making and digital print films, vehicle wrap, and architectural wrapping materials.” Sam Yarnall, sales and marketing director for Clarity Software Group, adds: “Our users, predominantly sign-makers and printers, will greatly benefit from accessing crucial product information directly within our system, streamlining operations and improving efficiency.” By Carys Evans According to CMYUK, there has been a significant rise in Fiery Prep-it software sales which the supplier has hailed “a new era in pre-press efficiency and material savings”. The software solution enables the prep, layout, and automated production of print-for-cut jobs and connects seamlessly to any RIP, printer, digital cutter, or router able to process PDF files. This enables various brands to be integrated and enables printers and sign-makers to leverage their existing equipment. Other features of the software include free-angle true shape nesting technology which optimises specified surface dimensions by placing jobs as a group in the most space-efficient way possible. According to CMYUK, Prep-it reduces setup time by 90% and reduces material consumption by an average of 33% compared to manual methods. An unlimited number of hot folders can also be set up with predefined actions assigned due to JavaScript Object Notation (JSON) integration. This enables hands-off production automation from pre-press workflows, MIS, and web-toprint solutions. In addition, users can tie oversized rectangular and irregular shaped jobs automatically with no limits on size or the number of panels.
