Developed for businesses producing signage, retail displays, exhibitions, and interior panels, the EU2-1000MF is designed to remove the complexity of traditional roll-to-roll print, laminate, and mount workflows. Workflow simplification is at the core of the build philosophy of the EU21000MF, with the direct-to-board UV flatbed removing multiple production stages associated with roll printing, laminating, and mounting. Supporting media sizes up to 1,220×2,440mm and materials up to 95mm thick, the EU21000MF can accommodates a wide range of rigid substrates, making it suitable for both established flatbed users and screen printers transitioning to digital production. The press is also built with a new high-definition printhead, which reportedly allows the EU2-1000MF to deliver approximately 1.5 times higher productivity than the previous EU-1000MF, while maintaining expected image quality and operational approachability. Despite this performance increase, pricing for the press remains unchanged from that outgoing model. Roland also recently announced a new global brand refresh, as part of a shift in focus to becoming a complete solutions provider of hardware, software, supplies, and service. ROLLSROLLER, a Swedish manufacturer of flatbed applicators, has announced the launch of its new product line, ROLLSROLLER SLIM, which is designed to make professional application technology more accessible. ROLLSROLLER SLIM aims to address a gap in the market by allowing for the graphics mounting, lamination, and pre-masking capabilities of other industrial-grade applicator models, but at a more affordable price point. While positioned as an entry-level solution, SLIM inherits the essential performance characteristics of the company’s flagship models including stable and rigid construction, a controlled workflow, ergonomic operation, and compatibility with a wide range of media and substrates. The result is a machine designed to enable sign shops, wrap professionals, and print providers to step into professional flatbed application with confidence. Mimaki Europe, a manufacturer of industrial inkjet printers and cutting plotters, has announced the new UJV200-160 and UJV200-130 which make up the JV200 series of UV roll-to-roll printers which was showcased for the first time in EMEA at FESPA Global Print Expo 2026 in Barcelona. The new UJV200160 was previewed at an exclusive media event on March 30th, 2026, at Mimaki’s regional headquarters in the Netherlands. During the event Mimaki talked about how it was helping printers and sign-makers diversify their offerings and offer more than traditional print and signage by expanding into areas like bespoke products with synthetic leather, and carpet and walls for exhibition stands. This led to the discussion of the Mimaki 200 Series which was first launched in September 2024, with the CJV200 solvent print and cut machine that then led to the JV200-160 and the TS200-1600 sublimation printer. The UJV200 is a roll-toroll UV printer and features MAPS4 technology for streak-free prints as well as variable dot technology for smooth gradients and solid colours. The press was highlighted by Evertse as one of the few printers, on the market that can produce skin tones without any grain, as well as solid colours and sharp fine lines. The printer’s Dot AdjustmentSystem(DAS2) has been implemented to enable automatic image quality adjustment with reduced setup time and media consumption. The printer’s UV technology also means the UJV200 utilises instant ink curing, which allows printers to be handled, finished, and installed immediately after production. The series also has white and clear inks so that three-layer printing can be achieved, on top of typical applications such as window graphics, backlit displays, labels, and decorative elements. The EU2-1000MF delivers approximately 1.5 times higher productivity than the previous model The SLIM provides ROLLSROLLER’s core technologies at a more affordable price point The UJV200-160 and UJV200-130 were showcased at this year’s FESPA Global Print Expo in Barcelona By Jonathan Pert By Jonathan Pert By David Osgar substrates.
