Soyang Europe announces brand new LIYU showroom Soyang Europe, a manufacturer and distributor of wide-format and superwide-format media and hardware, has announced a major investment in new customer facilities, following its partnership with print equipment manufacturer, Platinum Technologies LIYU. The investment builds on the recent appointment of Soyang Europe as the official distributor of the Platinum Technologies LIYU range in Great Britain. Soyang is now developing a dedicated showroom for the print solutions, as well as expanding its engineering training programme with the aim of enhancing customer support and driving the brand’s growth. The new showroom will feature several of the manufacturer’s printers, with a focus on the technology, its applications, and the quality of the output it delivers. Designed to mirror the minimalist look and feel of Platinum Technologies LIYU’s European Demo Centre in Düsseldorf, Germany, the facility has been created to allow visitors to experience focused demonstrations, explore a broad range of printed samples, and see first-hand how the solutions can support a wide variety of applications. Fujifilm Ink forges new partnership with with China Print Supplies Fujifilm Ink, a UK-based global supplier of UV inkjet technology, has strengthened its partnership with China Print Supplies UK (CPS) to become the recognised ink partner for the company’s range of Dlican UV printing systems. The new partnership aims to build on the rollout of Fujifilm Ink’s thermoforming flexible ink technology, extending the company’s supply of wide-format UV inks across the Dlican portfolio including UV flatbed, hybrid, and cylindrical printers. CPS, which focuses on providing Chinese print machinery solutions to the UK market, first announced a distribution agreement with Dlican in November 2025. Scott Clutton, managing director of China Print Supplies, says: “We wanted to make sure we had the best compliant, long-term ink solution to go with our printers. The more I spoke to people in the industry whose opinions I respect, the more obvious it became that Fujifilm Ink was the only choice.” Alongside machinery, CPS provides a range of consumables, RIP software, colour profiling, installation, training, and ongoing technical support, with the goal of helping customers maximise the performance of their investment. Based in Poole, Dorset, BCP has opted for a six-colour Nyala LED system to run alongside a refitted Impala machine installed five years ago. The new addition will help the firm take on more projects, with the company specialising in retail point of sale (POS), wide-format print, and signage. The Nyala will be used for applications including window graphics, event signage, wall coverings, counter display units, and free-standing display units. In addition, BCP has seen growth in short run speciality packaging, an area that often demands more high quality special effects. Ian Shenton, managing director at BCP Media Group, believes that the Nyala will play a significant part in producing premium print for demanding markets. The 3.2m wide Nyala flatbed offers a range of print options including a roll-to-roll printing mode, as well as additional ink channels for effects including matt, gloss, and raised varnish. The new solution was reportedly chosen after significant market research by BCP. As Shenton describes: “Despite our excellent experience with the Impala, we wanted to explore the market before we made our purchase.” Following trials of several alternative printers, BCP concluded that a second swissQprint offered the best level of performance, with higher production speeds and stronger colour vibrancy than competing technologies. Zell-Em invests in ColorJet Vulcan Hybrid Lancashire signage and workwear printer, Zell-Em Branding, has reported a considerable increase in output speeds since installing a ColorJet Vulcan Hybrid 3202 from Quality Print Services (QPS). The new Vulcan Hybrid 3202, which was delivered by QPS in April 2026, has enabled the company to take on larger projects and strengthen its wide-format offering. According to Steve Cartmell, operations manager at Zell-Em, the company was looking to replace a machine that was reaching the end of its operational life, seeing the replacement as an opportunity to increase its capabilities and futureproof the business. The ColorJet Vulcan Hybrid is a 3.2m UV-LED hybrid printer designed to handle both rigid and roll-to-roll media on a single platform. Configured with Ricoh Gen6 printheads and CMYK plus white ink, the device can print at speeds of up to 91sq m/hr.
