45 www.printmonthly.co.uk September | October 2026 - Issue 362 | NEWS Book your seat with Print Mastermind 2026 Bookings are now being taken for the first edition of Print Mastermind Live, a brand-new area at The Print Show this year, offering visitors free access to specialist business guidance. Led by Colin Sinclair McDermott, AKA The Online Print Coach, the feature will focus on education, serving as a dedicated and interactive zone offering print business owners the chance to step away from the show floor and take part in open conversations about how to grow their business. Visitors can drop in and join topic-led group sessions hosted by print professionals, offering practical insight into what is working in the print industry. Each 30-minute session will run at set times throughout the day, with seats at each table bookable ahead of the show. Those interested in attending can reserve up to two sessions per day, allowing them to pick the topics that match where their business is. On the day of the session, visitors can head to the Print Mastermind Live feature area – next to The Knowledge Zone – where they will be directed to their seat. Topics on the programme this year range from ‘Marketing and Visibility’ and ‘Business Growth and Sales’ to ‘Leadership and Personal Development’ and ‘Future and Innovation’. Seats are limited for each session, with those wanting to attend advised to book ahead to avoid disappointment. “The Print Show is packed with kit, suppliers and new tech,” McDermott says, adding: “Our round tables are the one place where the conversation is purely about you - the owner running the business. No slides, no sales pitches, just structured, peer-topeer discussion on the topics that actually matter. “Whether you run a small print shop, a signage company, a garment decoration business, or a larger commercial operation, the topics are chosen to reflect the real pressures leaders face.” By Rob Fletcher Trade up with Solopress at The Print Show Solopress will return to The Print Show this autumn with the aim of connecting with industry members to spread the word about its recent investment programme and how this will benefit new and existing customers. Having taken Stand P340 at the heart of The Print Show, Solopress will once again focus on promoting its diverse range of trade services. The show comes towards the end of what has been a busy 12-month period for the company, with the addition of new machinery boosting its production line-up significantly. Speaking about the investment programme, Jane Wickens, head of marketing at Solopress, says the company is now entering the next stage of its development as a production partner for resellers, agencies, and larger organisations. “We are keen to show the trade what we have been working on, both in terms of investment in production and new developments that make procurement more convenient and efficient for a wide range of trade customers,” Wickens says. “Over the past 12 months, we’ve invested heavily across our production operation, including the Ricoh Pro VC80000, the Agfa Anapurna Ciervo and new folding, foiling, binding and finishing equipment. We’ll also be sharing plans for a fifth production site.” Visitors to the Solopress stand can find out more about two major new services available through the company. One will allow businesses to connect directly to its print production and fulfilment operation in minutes, with “little to no development work” compared with a traditional API integration, Wickens says. The other offering is a new procurement platform for printers and resellers, using smart automation to read artwork, configure jobs, and return prices while removing much of the manual processing involved in sourcing print. “The show gives us the opportunity to demonstrate our progress, introduce new ways of working with us and have practical conversations about how we can support businesses seeking greater capacity, efficiency, and flexibility when sourcing print,” Wickens says. “The Print Show is a chance to celebrate what the industry does well and see where it is heading next. Bringing so many knowledgeable and enthusiastic people together encourages fresh thinking, healthy competition, and an exchange of ideas that helps the whole industry develop. “It also creates opportunities that you could never plan for. A conversation on the day can lead to a new supplier, partnership, product, or process that might never have emerged otherwise.” On top of this, Solopress CEO Simon Cooper will take to the stage of the Knowledge Zone to lead a session titled ‘The Print Renaissance: Crucial Insights to Thrive in an AI-Disrupted World’. Cooper will be speaking from 2pm on the final day of the show.
