New appointments at CMYUK Independent wide-format product supplier, CMYUK Group, has expanded its team with the appointment of Helen Beresford Jay as its new product marketing manager and Kate Channon as its new senior digital sales consultant. Reporting to group marketing director, Sarah Neate, Beresford Jay will support integrated marketing activity across the CMYUK Group, including distributor partner programmes and exhibitions. Beresford Jay joins the business from window film manufacturer, Contra Vision, where she worked most recently as head of marketing. She comes to the role with more than 20 years of experience in B2B marketing, distributor support, and campaign delivery. Beresford Jay’s appointment aims to further strengthen CMYUK Group’s centralised marketing team as the business continues to expand its reach across the UK, Europe, and wider international markets. Beresford Jay adds: “Having spent my career in and around this industry, I am genuinely excited to continue within it, working across such a vast and diverse product portfolio alongside a team with clear ambition and vision. I am looking forward to getting started and being part of this dynamic business.” Channon joins CMYUK from Fujifilm, where she was senior business development manager, with a previous track record of selling high-value print systems. She has worked in the wideformat digital print industry since 2011, with her previous work focusing on driving sustained revenue growth and opening new markets. In her new role, Channon will be responsible for selling CMYUK’s full portfolio of digital print production technologies including sublimation, ecosolvent, UV and UVgel, digital cutting and finishing, laminating, and workflow software. Speaking about what appealed to her about the new role, Channon says: “CMYUK’s broad portfolio really appeals to me because it means I can now offer customers complete production solutions. I’m especially excited to invite my long-standing customers to the Shrewsbury facility so they can see first-hand the depth and range of what CMYUK offers. The level of application knowledge and technical support here is exceptional, certainly something I have not seen before, and that gives me huge confidence in what we can deliver.” Chris Martin, sales director for Equipment at CMYUK, adds: “What really stands out about Kate is her determination to make things happen. She doesn’t wait for opportunities; she goes out and creates them. Combined with her robust industry relationships and track record in selling highvalue systems, she will not only be a tremendous asset but will fit in perfectly with our executive sales team.” PEOPLE | NEWS 21 www.signlink.co.uk Issue 266 - August | September 2026 SDEA elects first ever female president The Shop & Display Equipment Association (SDEA) has elected Claire White, UK head of specification for Antalis, as its new president – the first woman to hold the role since the association was founded in 1947. She succeeds Mark Chatterton, managing director of Morplan, who steps down after his term in the role, with James North of Northbanks Design elected as the new vice president. Speaking about the appointment, White says: “It is a real honour to take on the role of president, and I am proud to be the first woman to do so in the association’s history.” Newly elected vice president, James North, adds: “It is a real privilege to be elected vice president of the SDEA. I look forward to working alongside the board, members, and industry partners to champion innovation, support emerging talent, and help strengthen our industry for the future.” By Jonathan Pert WOO on the hunt for new CEO The World Out of Home Organisation (WOO) has launched an immediate search for a new chief executive officer, to lead the day-to-day operations of the global industry body. The newly created role will allow current WOO president, Tom Goddard, to step into a more ambassadorial role, freeing him to focus on member engagement and external advocacy. The hunt for the new role coincides with recent expansions and recalibrations at WOO, with the out-of-home (OOH) association aiming to drive better campaign results, improve audience measurement, and foster more AdTech connectivity for its members. The search for a new chief executive officer is being coordinated by Jeremy Male, chair of the WOO nominations committee. Goddard has invited delegates to direct any questions, suggestions, or expressions of interest to Male directly by emailing jeremy@worldooh.org.
