Emphasising the evolution the company has made in the last decade, Easton says HP has focused on delivering high-quality output, while helping customers simplify production and reduce operational friction. “HP has evolved into one of the world’s leading technology companies, operating in more than 180 countries globally. The graphics solutions business has expanded through continued innovation across large-format, commercial print, labels, packaging, and industrial print technologies. “Over time, HP has grown beyond hardware into workflow software, automation, and connected production solutions that support customers across the full print ecosystem.” Within the signage industry specifically, HP provides technology that can support applications such as retail graphics, outdoor advertising, event graphics, and window displays. Key to HP’s offering, according to Easton, is the HP Latex technology which helps PSPs with a wide variety of signage applications. “Alongside strong image quality and application versatility across rigid and flexible media, HP Latex uses water-based inks that produce odourless prints and support printing in sensitive environments such as schools, healthcare facilities, and hospitality spaces. The result is a technology that helps customers balance productivity, versatility, and sustainability in a way that is highly relevant to today’s market.” When asked about HP’s values and ethos, Easton says: “Our focus is on shaping the future of work through innovation, digital transformation, and connected experiences,” adding: “Across our Large Format Print business, our strategy is built around three core principles: helping customers deliver stunning print quality, streamline production workflows, and operate more sustainably. “That approach is reflected across our portfolio, from HP Latex technology and workflow automation through HP PrintOS Production Hub, to solutions designed to help PSPs reduce production bottlenecks and respond faster to customer demands.” Easton also emphasises the business’ approach to sustainability, which he says is central to HP. According to him, HP develops energy-efficient technologies and supports initiatives like HP Planet Partners and the HP Sustainability Amplifier Program, which helps customers recycle eligible supplies and strengthens sustainability practices across their business. “Ultimately, our goal is to help customers adapt and grow in a print market that continues to evolve rapidly,” says Easton. HP has made a variety of investments across print in the past few years, including new solutions in its Indigo and PageWide lines, as well as collaborations with the likes of Canva and Fiverr, designed to make print more accessible to creators and freelancers. Easton also points to the almost completely refreshed Latex portfolio, which has been changed to better match customer demand. This includes the launch of the HP Latex R530, as well as the HP Latex 730 and 830 series, which are built to deliver fast print speeds, improved media handling, and stronger colour consistency. Easton highlights that these investments, alongside the previously mentioned HP PrintOS Production Hub integrations, mean that HP “is helping customers improve operational visibility, reduce manual steps, and centralise production management.” He continues: “Together, these investments reflect HP’s focus on helping PSPs respond to broader application demands and a more connected production environment.” Easton points to the HP Latex FS70 W as a relevant recent release, and an example of a product that is helping customers reduce manual touchpoints. He says that productivity is of particular focus for the FS70, which can support unattended overnight printing, faster white ink production, and long-run reliability via features like high-capacity ink systems. “At the same time, our portfolio helps PSPs expand into new applications, from white ink and specialty materials to higher-value retail graphics and décor, while maintaining strong print quality and production flexibility,” adds Easton. Speaking about how the company is keeping up with modern trends, Easton highlights HP’s investments into AI and automation, designed to help customers adapt to changing industry demands. He adds: “We are also investing in energy-efficient technologies and workflow solutions that help customers reduce substrate waste, lower ink consumption, and minimise unnecessary reprints.” As the worlds of print and signage evolve and change, so too does the technology that goes with them. It’s clear from HP’s track record and its plans for the future that it aims to move and progress with its partners and the industry. Being on top of developments like AI, automation, sustainability, and workflow demonstrates HP’s commitment to future proofing its business, its technology, and most importantly, its customers. Ultimately, our goal is to help customers adapt and grow in a print market that continues to evolve rapidly ▲The HP Latex FS70Wwas announced in October 2025 and was later shown for the first time at PRINTING United Expo 1939: Founded in 1939 by Bill Hewlett and David Packard 180: HP operates in over 180 countries around the world 80sqm: At The Print Show 2026, HP will exhibit on an 80sq m stand at the show entrance 2026: The company unveiled the HP DesignJet Z6 and Z9+ PostScript Printer Series Plus Edition at FESPA 2026 in Barcelona Statistics
